Are there any considerations towards limiting vehicle weights (when it comes to minimizing kinetic energy) or other vehicle characteristics like height?

@ Chi-Hyun Kim - I'm not aware of any serious discussions along those lines yet here, but I think it's part of the realization about the Safe System Approach and kinetic energy management. For us, it makes speed management even more critical. There was an article I recently read about an effort by the City of London to limit vehicles of certain size and weight based on Safe System principles.

Absolutely, but that doesn't mean the money is there to implement the strategy. It doesn't change congress and their willing to make funding available.
