David Saunders, the Director of the Office of Health Equity will discuss his work at the Pennsylvania Department of Health and draw some of the connections between transportation, equity, and health.

In 2020, DVRPC asked the students to conduct an independent assessment of the impact of major transportation projects on minority and low-income communities in Southeastern Pennsylvania and Southern New Jersey. In this meeting, Mark Morley, DVRPC Transportation Planner, Claire Adler, Project Analyst at Transportation Resource Associates, Inc., and Andrew Halt, P.E., Traffic/ITS engineer at AECOM (co-authors of the report), will provide an overview of their study, Benefits and Burdens: Case Studies in Transportation Equity in the Philadelphia Region.
